Updated Nov 2026 [Start with Reason](https://reasonmachines.com) on the web, or [Download for macOS](https://reasonmachines.com/download). ## What it does - Drafts the monthly or quarterly investor update: metrics, highlights, lowlights and asks, in your format. - Pulls numbers from Stripe and PostHog and shipped work from GitHub, so the draft starts from real data. - Researches investors and keeps a pipeline list, with notes on who to follow up with. - Drafts follow-up emails after meetings for you to edit and send. ## How to set it up - Instructions sketch: "You draft investor communications. Never send anything: give me every update and follow-up as an email draft. Use our standing format: three highlights, metrics with month-over-month change, lowlights, asks. Take numbers only from Stripe and PostHog and say how each was computed." - Connectors: Stripe, PostHog and GitHub to read; Google Calendar to see recent investor meetings; Slack to deliver drafts. - Example Loop: on the 1st of each month at 9:00 (cron 0 9 1 * *), draft last month's update and post it to you; Mondays at 8:00, a pipeline and follow-up list. - Memory: your format, tone and the investors you've already updated carry across months. ## What it won't do - Send the update.
