Reason for macOS connects a Reason session to your Mac. A task can use a local repository, installed tools, files, and development ports when you allow it.

Use the desktop app when the code or service Reason needs is already running on your computer.

## Work with the local environment

Reason can read the selected checkout, run installed tools, and open local development ports. Local access is granted per task.

## Review and control the run

See active permissions, tool activity, and changed files. Send a follow-up or stop the run from the same window.

## Use the same session elsewhere

Open the same session on the web or iOS. Its messages and results remain attached.
