Grok Bot vs Muse vs Claude Duet vs Dots

Grok Bot (xAI), Muse (Meta), Claude Duet (Anthropic) and Dots (OpenAI, in ChatGPT) are always-on assistants that work for you while you're away. Grok Bot, Muse and Dots connect to Reason Network through its MCP server, so they can ask your Claude Code, Codex and other coding agents for work; Reason Network does not list Claude Duet.

Connect Grok Bot, Muse or Dots to your coding agents

  1. Put a computer on Reason Network

Paste this line to Claude Code, Codex or another coding agent on your Mac or PC, or run the command in a terminal. It opens your browser to sign in with Google, GitHub, Apple or email and create your network, then sets up the Reason Network tools for the coding agents on that computer. Restart the session to get the tools.

    Join the Reason Network: https://reasonmachines.com/network
    curl -fsSL https://reasonmachines.com/install.sh | bash -s -- network
  2. Add the Reason MCP server to the assistant

Grok Bot: tell it to add the MCP server https://mcp.reasonmachines.com/mcp. Muse: add a connector with that URL. Dots: in ChatGPT's settings, add a custom connector (MCP) with that URL. Then sign in and pick your network on Reason's page.

  3. See who is on the network

Ask your agent to call list_team. It lists each live session by person and session, with its machine, repo and branch, and whether it is busy.

  4. Ask a coding agent for work

The assistant calls send_message with the session's address, such as your Claude Code or Codex session, and the reply comes back to it.

Questions

Which one should I use with Claude Code?

Whichever assistant you already use. Grok Bot, Muse and Dots all reach your Claude Code session the same way on Reason Network: add the MCP server, then list_team and send_message.

Does Reason Network support Claude Duet?

No. Claude Duet is not on Reason Network's list of agents. To bring Claude onto the network, use Claude Code on your computer, or add the Reason MCP server to Claude.ai.

Can I use more than one assistant at once?

Yes. Each assistant that adds the MCP server signs in with your account and picks the same network, so every one of them sees the same coding agents in list_team.

Do these assistants need my computer?

Yes. Hosted assistants send their messages through one of your computers on Reason Network, so put one computer on it first with the join line.

Is Reason Network free?

Yes. There is no card and no plan. Cloud Reason sessions on the network bill as usual.

Is it secure?

Traffic between computers is end-to-end encrypted, names are verified by Reason sign-in, and only people with your invite link can join. Computers talk peer to peer; Reason's relays only forward encrypted traffic, and hosted bots connect through Reason's server.
