Limits, prices and comparisons, from the source.

These guides explain how Claude Code and Codex usage limits, resets and plans work, quoted from Anthropic's and OpenAI's own pages, and compare the main coding agents fairly. Each one also shows how to keep a task moving when one agent hits its limit, in Reason's web or Mac app on the plans you already pay for.

Keep working when one agent runs out

  1. Open Reason on the web or the Mac app

Sign in at reasonmachines.com, or download the Reason Mac app for macOS from reasonmachines.com/download and sign in there. Both open the same Sessions.

  2. Connect the plans you already pay for

In Settings › Models, choose Sign in with ChatGPT to run OpenAI models on your ChatGPT Plus, Pro or Business plan, and add any other subscriptions or API keys you use. Reason runs on your own accounts first; a Reason plan's credits cover the rest.

  3. Carry the task on

When one agent hits its usage limit, push the work in progress and tell Reason the branch and what's next. Pick a model on an account that still has usage.

Questions

Where do these figures come from?

Every plan, price, limit and command is quoted from the vendor's own page, linked in the guide, and checked on the date shown under each guide's heading.

What does Reason cost?

Reason's plans are Pro at $50 a month and Max at $200 a month. Models you run on your own connected accounts count against those accounts.
